Formerly WJBR's Turkeython Will Still Take Place Under New Promotion

WJBR supported the community for many years before their exit from the 99.5 frequency in Wilmington, Delaware. One of the major events during the holiday season was Turkeython benefiting the Ministry of Caring at the Emmanuel Dining Room. Despite their switch to an HD2 Philiadelphia based 95.7, WJBR's Turkeython will still take place under new promotion.

Chris Leonard, former Operations Manager at WJBR has spearheaded this event for many years. It's been near and dear to his heart and important to his family to continue the tradition. With the help of his brother, Police Captain Jamie Leonard and several other emergency services in Delaware, the Turkeython will live on.

New Castle County Police, NCC Emergency Communications, NCC Emergency Management and NCC Paramedics are all joining forces to make sure that families in Delaware have a warm meal this Thanksgiving.

Friday, November 17th from 8am to 7pm you will be able to drop off frozen Turkeys and other thanksgiving side dishes or non-perishables at the ShopRite on Concord Pike.

Deanna and Justin (In The Morning) will also be appearing at Turkeython

from 12-1. Anyone who shows up in that time frame with a donation will receive a Deanna and Justin sticker.

During this time, as the weather gets colder and you start to plan your holiday gatherings please consider spending a few extra dollars to donate food to families in need during this year's Turkeython.

The Emmanuel Dining Room and the Ministry of Caring do their very best to feed hundreds of families on a regular basis.
